The organization for animal rights and the environment EVA is the first organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina that deals with animal rights and raising environmental awareness. Numerous projects that EVA leads focus precisely on these two mentioned branches.

It was founded in 2019 with its headquarters in Sarajevo and we are members and partners with many world organizations such as:

ANIMAL RIGHTS

Unfortunately,  animal rights in BiH are at a very unenviable level. To make matters worse  Bosnia and Herzegovina has one of the best Animal Welfare Laws in Europe, which, unfortunately, has never been implemented, and which would largely solve many ongoing problems related to this issue.

We believe that it is unnecessary to emphasize that all living beings have natural rights, and we should consider their inhumane exploitation as one of the leading problems. According to that, our organization strives to systematically solve these problematic issues by implementing projects that would improve living standards and bring rights to animals in need of them.

 ENVIRONMENT

We have all already witnessed current ecological disasters that started to become very alarming and threatening a long time ago. Humans are in for becoming the most significant factor that is not only responsible for these occurrences but also keeps destroying our only planet and everything residing on it. We have to act toward saving our environment and making it better by starting to correct our mistakes.

Planet Earth is our only home. By analyzing the statistics of many world environmental organizations, we are currently running toward even bigger climate disasters, which could ultimately result in a significant loss of natural resources.

All living beings are in connection with nature and even the slightest endangerment of its ecosystem can lead to disturbances and significant ecological imbalances. The proof lies in recent events in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the long-lost balance between nature and man was established, and the human factor was minimized due to movement restrictions.

In a war with nature, we always lose.

  • "Nature doesn’t really need people, people need nature. She is prepared to evolve, are we ?"

  • “We don’t own the planet Earth, we belong to it. And we must share it with our wildlife.”

  • “An animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language.”

  • “The message is simple: love and conserve our animals.”
